International Law Omissions: Rohingya Deportation Order of the Supreme Court of India

I analyze the order issued by the Supreme Court of India on 8 April 2021, refusing to grant relief to a group of Rohingya, detained in preparation for deportation to Myanmar. I assess some of the international legal issues, most notably the principle of non-refoulement, as well as current international legal proceedings at the International Court of Justice in relation to the Genocide Convention. A version of this post appeared in The Leaflet on 13 April 2021.
